Wynwood Walls Youth Arts & Empowerment Experience

I documented an immersive arts and leadership development experience for mentees from William H. Turner Technical Arts High School at Wynwood Walls. Students participated in an interactive workshop, “How to Create Opportunities Instead of Waiting for Them,” led by community leader Zakiyya White. During this session, mentees collaborated in small groups to identify real challenges within their communities and develop actionable solutions. This exercise fostered critical thinking, teamwork, and a sense of agency.

I captured and curated visual content throughout the experience, documenting key moments of creativity, collaboration, and engagement. The program not only exposed students to Miami’s vibrant art culture but also reinforced the importance of initiative, community impact, and creative confidence.
